We are excited for you to get started with your ůůֱ²¥ Online program course. If you have questions or need help along the way, we are here to help!

Step 1
Set Up Your NetID

Go to the website, enter your ůůֱ²¥ NetID and accept the ůůֱ²¥ State ůůֱ²¥ IT Policies and Procedures.

Hint: Your NetID is your last name, first initial and a number: i.e. smitha1. This is the ID you will use to access the majority of systems and online services on campus.

IMPORTANT: Graduate students need to prior to setting up your NetID and registering.

Step 2
Register in Nest

with your ůůֱ²¥ NetID and password.

  • When you first log into any of ůůֱ²¥â€™s systems that use your NetID, you will be prompted to activate your MFA (Multi Factor Authentication). For more information on how to do this, review the MFA Quick Reference Guide.
  • Once you log in, go to Registration in the left side menu.
  • Click on Registrar Office Tools, select Register for Classes/Add or Drop.
  • Enter the term for registration, then click continue.
  • Click on Enter CRN and input the 5 digit code listed on the.

Step 3
Check Your ůůֱ²¥ Email
  • Access your ůůֱ²¥ email account at and enter your NetID. You will use the password you created when setting up your NetID.
    Hint: Your email address is in the format, NetID@montclair.edu.
Step 4
Access Your Course in Canvas

Canvas

Our online programs provide students with the flexibility and convenience of attending an online class anytime, from anywhere. Courses are conducted in Canvas, an accessible learning management system.
